The site offers information about learning disabilities, the LDA Annual Conference, and publications. The national LDA site links to State chapters of LDA.

National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD)
http://www.ncld.org/The National Center for Learning Disabilities is an organization that promotes public awareness and understanding of learning disabilities. It advocates for improved legislation and works for better services for individuals with learning disabilities.

International Dyslexia Society (IDA)http://interdys.org
(Formerly  the Orton Dyslexia Society) IDA is an international organization that focuses on issues related to dyslexia and reading disabilities. It offers training language programs, publications about dyslexia, and holds an annual conference. There are chapters in many states.

 LD On Line http://www.ldonline.orgA website designed to provide current information about learning disabilities. It has a format that changes each month. It features articles and special topics, bulletin boards, chat rooms, and "ask the expert" interaction questions.

Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) http://www.cec.sped.org
An organization for professionals in all areas of special education. CEC has 17 specialized divisions. CEC holds conferences, publishes newsletters and journals, and advocates for children with disabilities.
