ABOUT PLD (PROFESSIONALS IN LEARNING DISABILITIES)
Professionals in Learning Disabilities (PLD) is a not-for-profit organization of teachers and related professionals who work with individuals with learning disabilities and other special education areas. Members work in the schools or as private educational therapists.
PLD . . .
  • serves the Chicago metropolitan area
  • offers continuing education to its members through programs and seminars on current topics in learning disabilities
  • offers study groups on areas of member interest
  • provides a tutorial referral service for parents of children with learning disabilities
  • publishes a PLD Newsletter
  • maintains a lending library of books and videos for members
