The Language of Reading and Spelling: Assessing and Teaching Word Study Skills
In this workshop, you will examine spelling and word-level reading as language-based skills and learn a method of spelling error analysis used to assess work study skills and to plan individualized word study instruction. You also will gain hands-on experience with multi-linguistic,meta-linguistic word study activities which address the specific needs of language-impaired students and learning-disabled students. Bring samples of your students' misspellings!
